Malifaux Rule Book Rising Powers $35.00

If you have not yet checked out Wyrd Miniatures, or their new Skirmish War game, Malifaux, you really should.  We recently brought in the core book, and some of their Gang boxsets, and reactions have been pretty favorable.  It is a fun, fairly quick game set in a Crazy Steam-punk Victorian Gothic undead old west setting. (get all that?)  Look for my review of the game up shortly, but for now just know its definitely worth your eyes.   For more information check out their webpage here.

Hello All,

We have a really fun event coming up next Friday I want to fill you all in on.   The Warhammer Fantasy Wargame is rolling out its latest and greatest edition, and we are celebrating with a launch party, events, contests, and prizes.   If you are an old Warhammer player, or just starting out, we will have something fun for everyone, and I hope we get lots of people out to play.

Events Start at 6 PM with 500 point demo battles.   Bring your 500 point Warhammer fantasy army or borrow one of the many we will have available, and try out the new rules.  We will be on hand to demo the rules and get you up to speed.  Everyone who plays a demo gets their name in a hat, and one lucky winner will receive $50 in store credit to be used on any Games workshop product.

Next, from 9 PM to 11 Pm is the model building contest.  Purchase some Warhammer fantasy models here at the shop, either this week, or during the event.  Bring them in, un-built, and enter the contest.  Whomever can build the most models in 2 hours will win $50 in store credit towards more GW models.  Please note you must buy the models here in the store, and they must be multi part.  No buying the battle for skull pass and winning handily.

Finally, at midnight we will sell books to anyone who want’s one, and begin the mega battle.  Using your 500 point army or one of ours, we will put everyone together on one table, and the last man or woman standing wins $50 in store credit.

So, Tell your friends, tell your family, bring em on down, and lets kick off warhammer fantasy 8th edition with a bang.

This game has been explained to me as Dominion meets Descent.   Its all card driven, but the cards you acquire are used by your character to battle through a dungeon.  It sounds really cool, and is on the top of my pick up list.
