Choker #4: Oh, Choker, I know you’re so wrong but you feel so right.  Our man with the superpowered phantom hand continues the hunt for a monster-making drug dealer.  Vampires!  Old landladies!  Super-junkie cops!  Choker doesn’t fill the gap left in my heart by Fell, but it comes close.  Too close.  With a knife.

Sweet Tooth #13: Tension continues to build in this strange post-apocalyptic tale.  Characters I didn’t expect to see much contribution from turn out to have some story behind them.  And some ‘Eye spy’ on an abandoned highway.

Pleasant Surprises

Origins of Marvel Comics; X-Men: The variety of artists on the project was fun to see, as well as Jill Thompson!  My question after this is…when does X-Club get a book?

New Mutants Forever #2: This title lets me exercise some of my dirty dirty secondhand New Mutants nostalgia that I picked up from some 90s reprints of 80s X-Men books at a supermarket stand.

One Month To Live #1: Solicited by Diamond as Heroic Age One Month to Live and saddled with a face-punch-urging numbers-as-words cover titling, One Month to Live is off to an interesting start.  Terminal cancer plus transmutation powers plus a fed up banker equals book.  So far not as upbeat as I’d expect from a Heroic Age book.
